Daniel Ponickly started his career working with kids as a senior Teaching Artist with American Ballroom Theater’s ‘Dancing Classrooms Program,’ subject of the documentary Mad Hot Ballroom. Since the mid ‘90’s, Daniel has taught dozens of thousands of children and has become one of the nation’s top teaching artists. He was instrumental in developing and organizing ABrT’s Scholarship Program and the Youth Performance Group. Daniel’s experience includes teaching throughout NYC’s inner-city public schools as well as piloting Everybody Dance’s Ballroom Program in Los Angeles.
